It is with great pride that the Mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere, took part in the ceremony to present a cheque to the Alzheimer Society of Montréal for $26,543, an amount raised as part of the Pointe-Claire Desjardins Half Marathon held on June 16.

The ceremony took place at Edgewater Park, with organizers and representatives of the organizations involved in attendance. “We are pleased to contribute to a cause that affects several families in our community and thus promote their well-being while supporting research,” Mayor John Belvedere said.

This fourth edition of the half-marathon attracted some 2,800 athletes of all ages, raising $5,000 more than last year, “a success that reflects the spirit of support in our community,” Mayor Belvedere added.

Presentation of the cheque took place with the partners in attendance.
