The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to share that Pointe-Claire Swim Club coach Stephanie Shewchuk has been selected for the “Empowering Women in Coaching Through Mentorship, Community & Collective Growth” coaching program with the Canadian Swimming Coaches Association (CSCA).
This program allows for participating coaches from various associations to meet monthly in small mentorship groups, focused on professional connection, shared learning, and long-term professional growth.
As part of this mentorship opportunity, Stephanie has been assigned Anne Ottenbrite-Muylaert, former Olympic gold medallist at the 1984 Los Angeles Games and a long-time contributor to Canadian swimming as a coach.
Stephanie, who leads the Sport-Études program at the Pointe-Claire Swim Club, will gain invaluable experience through this program. It will enable her to continue her development as a coach, which will strengthen the experience of our Swim Club’s passionate young athletes.
We wish Stephanie the best luck and commend her for pursuing this incredible opportunity for professional development and growth.
