Update – Québec’s National Holiday and Canada Day: Outdoor Festivities to Bring People Together

As part of the Québec's National Holiday celebrations, we're keeping you cool!

  • A misting station will be set up on-site to help you stay refreshed during the festivities.
  • The Village pool, just steps away from the festivities, will be open free of charge from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (5A Sainte-Anne Avenue).

The City of Pointe-Claire invites residents to come together and celebrate Québec’s National Holiday and Canada Day, on Tuesday, June 24 and Tuesday, July 1, respectively.

Alexandre-Bourgeau Park will be at the heart of the celebrations, which will also take place throughout the streets of Pointe-Claire Village, a great opportunity for families, friends, and neighbours to gather and enjoy these festive events together.

The program includes activities for all ages, with a variety of fun and imaginative entertainment for everyone.

Québec’s National Holiday: June 24, from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Starting at 2 p.m., the park will come alive with inflatable games, face painting, a reading tent, a kids’ zone, and a free-play area. There will also be an axe-throwing booth and plenty of food kiosks.

The Village Pool (5A Sainte-Anne Avenue) will be open for free from 2 to 6 p.m., offering a refreshing break.

A festive musical atmosphere will be provided by a DJ from 2 to 10 p.m., along with roaming entertainment throughout the afternoon.

Don’t miss:

2:30 p.m.: Circus show

3:30 to 5:30 p.m.: Circus workshop

6 p.m.: Children’s show Carton Blue and Turbo-Jess

7:30 p.m.: Mayor’s speech

8 p.m.: Performance by the group Franco Festif

The day will end with a fireworks display at 10:10 p.m., launched from a barge on Lake Saint-Louis (weather permitting).

In case of rain, activities will move indoors to the Olive-Urquhart Sports Centre.

Canada Day: July 1, from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Celebrations begin at 2 p.m. with a wide array of family activities: inflatable games, face painting, caricatures, a photo booth, kids’ zone, and reading tent. An art workshop hosted by the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre will give visitors a chance to unleash their creativity.

In Pointe-Claire Village (263 Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road), from 4 to 7 p.m., enjoy a lively atmosphere with roaming entertainment, face painting, and a bouncy ball booth. The Village Pool (5A Sainte-Anne Avenue) will also be open for free from 2 to 6 p.m.

Highlights:

2 p.m.: Games and entertainment

2 to 3 p.m.: Citizenship ceremony (at Stewart Hall Cultural Centre)

3 p.m.: Bubble show in front of the stage

4 to 5 p.m.: RCMP bagpipe performance

4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: Meet your elected officials in the Village

6:30 p.m.: Zumba session

7:30 p.m.: Mayor’s speech

8 p.m.: Performance by the group Deluxe Rodeo

10:10 p.m.: Fireworks display (weather permitting), launched from a barge on Lake Saint-Louis

In case of rain, activities will move indoors to the Olive-Urquhart Sports Centre.
