Youth Advisory Board 2025-2026: A Seventh Youth Advisory Committee Will Be Representing Pointe-Claire!
Mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire John Belvedere, City Councillor and liaison to the Youth Advisory Board Kelly Thorstad-Cullen, and members of the City Council are delighted to introduce the ten young residents who will form the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) for the 2025-2026 term.
This committee plays a key role in giving youth a voice and allowing them to make recommendations to improve activities, services and initiatives intended for them.
On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, an official ceremony was held in the Council Chamber of City Hall to mark the commencement of this new cohort’s mandate. With Mayor John Belvedere, members of City Council, and family members in attendance, the young members were officially appointed to their new roles. The evening concluded with friendly conversations over refreshments.
The City is excited to welcome the following new members to the Youth Advisory Committee: Owen Varvarikos, Jason Chen (2nd term), Dina El Azzouzi (2nd term), Tianna Maughn (2nd term), Michelle Li (2nd term), Chloe Guan (2nd term), Priya Kennedy, Danielle Akinfenwa et Olivia Rogers (2nd term).
