Sustainable Development Policy
The sustainable development policy is a reference document proposing a long-term vision to which different stakeholders – municipal, community, and external – must refer for the implementation of environmental, social, and economic actions. The action plan, integrated into the policy, offers concrete short- and medium-term solutions over a five-year horizon and may be subject to modifications.
The sustainable development policy guides actions in respect of global issues and the expectations of federal and provincial governments. It is also intended as a commitment by the City to its citizens to equip itself with resources and tools for a formalized management of sustainable development issues with a view to constantly improving quality of life.
