Current Impacts of Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre Renovation Project

Published on May 5, 2026 to 3:28 p.m.

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that certain Aquatic Centre facilities will be affected at the start of the renovation work, scheduled for Monday, May 18.

The City will try to minimize inconveniences caused by the work and ensure that impacts on user experience and programming remain minimal.

Closure of Certain Locker Rooms and Expected Impacts

The men’s and Universal 2 locker rooms will be closed starting May 18. Visitors will have access to the Universal 1 locker room, which is open to all, as well as the women’s locker room.

The locker rooms located near the George-Gate pool (10-50m) will also be accessible while that pool is open. However, space is limited.

Visitors are encouraged, whenever possible, to arrive in their swim attire so they can proceed directly to their activity. It is also asked to limit the use of the locker rooms to a maximum of 15 minutes after your activity in order to reduce the amount of people in the locker rooms.

Temporary Access and Reception Area

A temporary entrance and reception area will be set up while these spaces undergo renovation work.

Other Impacts

Please note that you may also notice an increase in noise due to the construction work.

The current notice will be updated as the project progresses.
