Temporary Water Service Interruption and Possible Water Discolouration – Broadview Avenue

Published on July 27, 2026 to 10:54 a.m.

The City of Pointe-Claire informs you that, due to an analysis of the water distribution system, there will be a short interruption to the drinking water supply on July 30 on Broadview Avenue.

Affected addresses

  • 17-170 Broadview Avenue

A temporary drop in water pressure may affect nearby streets.

Water service interruption

  • Scheduled date: Thursday, July 30, at any time between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., for a period of less than 30 minutes. If you are affected, you will receive a paper notice before the interruption.
  • Work carried out by: City of Pointe-Claire

Possible water discolouration

This work may cause temporary water discolouration in nearby streets. The discolouration is temporary and poses no health risk.

If your water is discoloured, please follow these instructions:

  • Turn on your cold water tap (preferably the bathtub or kitchen sink tap) and let the water run until it becomes clear.
  • If your tap is fitted with an aerator, remove it before running the water.
  • Make sure the water is clear before using hot water or any water-using appliances, including your refrigerator’s water dispenser, if applicable, to prevent staining or damage.
  • Avoid using your washing machine during the work or while the water is discoloured. Make sure the water is clear before doing laundry.
  • If you notice that clothing has been stained after doing laundry, a cleaning product is available free of charge at the City Hall Multiservice Counter.

Thank you for your understanding.
