Information about this Zone
Since April 2026, the City has established a permit parking zone for residents of Hermitage, as the nearby REM station does not provide any commuter parking. This measure helps keep the neighbourhood peaceful and prevents residents from being disturbed by heavy traffic or parked cars.
In this area, street parking is prohibited between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., unless you have a valid permit. The zone is enforced 7 days a week.

Rules for Street Parking
Even if you have a parking permit, it is important to follow the current by-laws and the Highway Safety Code.
Here are some reminders:
- Parking a vehicle on a public street for more than 24 consecutive hours is prohibited at all times, in accordance with Article 9.3.1 of Traffic By-law PC-2565. This restriction applies throughout the entire City.
- You must always obey all posted street signs.
- You must respect snow removal parking restrictions.
- You must park at least five meters (6 ft) from an intersection.
- You cannot park in front of a fire hydrant.
- Etc.
