Potholes
Teams are hard at work repairing streets that were damaged during the winter. Temperature variations and thawing cause damage and lead to the formation of potholes.
To report a pothole, visit the Online Requests page.
Street and Sidewalk Cleaning
Street and sidewalk cleaning has been underway since the beginning of spring. The purpose of this cleaning is to remove dirt and debris that have accumulated during the winter using a mechanical broom or other equipment.
Flushing of the Water System
The flushing of the water system throughout the territory will take place from mid-April to the end of July. The work is scheduled from Sunday to Friday, between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. This annual maintenance operation helps to dislodge naturally occurring minerals in the water that deposit on the inner walls of the pipes. A notice will be hung on your door a few days before the work begins to inform you.
Here are some recommendations:
- Avoid washing your clothes or dishes between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- If your water is cloudy or colored, let the cold water run from the tap until it clears up.
- If your clothes are stained by cloudy or colored water, the City provides an easy-to-use cleaning product. To obtain it, visit City Hall at 451 Saint-Jean Boulevard.
To facilitate operations, the City asks citizens to avoid parking their vehicles on the street.
