Description

L’Ensemble Estavel invites you on a musical journey to the sources of Christmas traditions, through the songs and instruments from the Middle Ages. Gaudete! is a warm and evocative program of vocal and instrumental pieces from European manuscripts dating from the 13th to 15th centuries, celebrating the Nativity with passion, tenderness and sometimes wild jubilation. This concert combines Latin hymns, Old French songs and English carols, performed on period instruments.
