Additional public skating sessions are offered during peak seasons and holiday breaks, and will be included in the monthly schedule.

Rules

Prohibited:

  • Crowding or loitering at the edge of the skating rink
  • Sitting on the boards or on the ice
  • Drinking, eating or smoking on the ice
  • Carrying anyone on one’s back, in one’s arms, on a sleigh or in a stroller
  • Wearing boots or shoes on the ice
  • Pushing or shoving
  • Racing or skating very fast
  • Throwing objects onto the ice
  • Skating backwards or against the flow
  • Figure skating or playing hockey/ringette
  • Skating with speed skates
  • Sitting on the players’ bench or in the penalty box
  • It is strongly recommended to wear a hockey helmet and neck guard during public activities

Public activities like hockey and ringette are available during peak seasons and holiday breaks, including March Break, Summer Break, and Winter Holidays.

Special schedules will be published for these activities, so make sure you don’t miss any upcoming programming.

Family Hockey Rules

It is required to:

  • Wear a helmet with full face protection, a neck guard, and skates at all times on the ice.

It is forbidden to:

  • Take slapshots;
  • Use weighted pucks;
  • Use the locker rooms;
  • Throw objects onto the ice;
  • Pull or push each other;
  • Sit on the boards;
  • Enter the penalty box;
  • Give classes or lessons.

Anyone not respecting these rules may be asked to leave the rink.

Preschool Skating

For skaters age 3 to 5. Groups of 25 children.

Preschool skating is offered in the fall and winter sessions.

Equipment required

  • Lace-up skates that provide good ankle support
  • Hockey helmet with metal or plastic protective mask
  • Gloves or mittens
