Pointe-Claire Public Art Committee

The Pointe-Claire Public Art Committee offers insights and suggestions on the diverse public art initiatives of the City of Pointe-Claire. It collaborates with the administration to advocate for public art and ensure its impact within the community and across the region.

Composition

An advisory committee is composed of citizens, artists, experts, members of the administration, and members of the municipal council.

Mandate

The committee's mandate is to promote public art in Pointe-Claire, propose ideas, concepts, and project themes, and submit opinions and recommendations to the municipal council for their implementation.

It proposes and recommends sites and locations for public art projects and ensures the application of the mural policy and the public art policy within the territory of the City of Pointe-Claire. Additionally, it makes recommendations on the maintenance of existing works and ensures the follow-up on the maintenance of those belonging to the City in collaboration with the art gallery manager.

A call for applications is issued when a seat on the committee becomes vacant.

Individuals wishing to participate in the committee will be informed when a call for applications is active.
