Donation boxes, centres and reuse organizations

Think your old microwave, clothing, furniture or sports equipment are past their prime? Think again! Score extra points for sustainability by donating your treasures which are in good condtion that you no longer need to local reuse organizations. Or, you can consider selling or giving away your items on online marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Poshmark and many others. By giving your used items in good condition a second life, keeps them in use for longer and more importantly, reduces the need to buy new.

What is a reuse organization?

A reuse organization is a non-profit entity that extends the lifespan of products and materials, keeping them out of landfills by collecting, repairing, refurbishing, and redistributing them to new users. These reuse organizations aim to keep items for further use and minimize the need to buy new. It is also a great way to support those in need in our community! 

For your convenience the Bin Team has put together a roster of organizations that accept donations. Before dropping off your donations, please verify their website or call them for the complete list of accepted items. Feel free to seek out other reuse organizations!
