NEW: Used Clothing Collection
A new service will be available starting at the next ecocentre on May 9: the collection of used clothing. Bring your unwanted textiles to give them a second life and help reduce waste.
Ecocentres is the training ground for responsible waste management — the place where tricky items get recovered, reused, or recycled instead of ending up in the landfill. Construction materials, tires, furniture, electronics, bulky items, hazardous household waste can be brought year-round to an Agglomeration of Montréal ecocentres or, to ecocentre collections organized by the City of Pointe-Claire.

The 2026 ecocentre collection in Pointe-Claire will take place on the following Saturdays: May 9, July 11, September 12 and October 17.
Ecocentre collections take place at the Public Works yard located at 50 Terra-Cotta Avenue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your items, follow the directions and the ecocentre team will be there to help you.
Note, household hazardous waste items will no longer be collected at the Pointe-Claire ecocentre. These items need to be disposed of at any of the Montréal ecocentres. Complete information about the ecocentres drop-off sites can be found on the Montréal Hazardous household waste page.
Document shredding
The Bin Team knows every great play starts with a clean slate — and that includes your paperwork. At the Pointe-Claire ecocentre, residents can take advantage of on-site document shredding to safely dispose of sensitive papers. Any paper is accepted, staples and bindings included. Just remove paper clips, plastic covers, and binders before shredding.
Compost & wood chip distribution (Upon availability)
Depending on availability during select ecocentre collection dates, Pointe-Claire residents may pick up compost and wood chips. Before each event, check this page for the latest update on what is being offered. To keep things fair for the whole community team, please limit your pickup to 100 L per person. Don't forget your shovel and containers!
Saturday, May 9: compost and wood chips will be available.
