Three-Year Capital Investment Program (CIP)

The three-year capital program presents the investments and infrastructure improvement projects that the City wishes to undertake over the coming years. This planning tool outlines the prioritization of projects that the City aims to undertake in order to properly anticipate costs and impacts on its budget and borrowings. This prioritization is reviewed annually.

A capital project can, for example, be the creation of a park, the refurbishment of a sports field, or road infrastructure. In short, a capital project involves acquiring assets or carrying out construction or improvement work on infrastructure or facilities that have a lasting useful life, distinguishing them from day-to-day operating activities.

Note that the PTI projects are subject to the approval of the city council.
