A New Public Art Installation Is Coming to Edgewater Park This Fall!

The City of Pointe-Claire is pleased to announce the selection of artist Patrick Bérubé to create a new permanent public art installation that will be unveiled at Edgewater Park in fall 2026.

The artwork was selected through a public art call for projects launched in winter 2026, inviting professional artists to submit original concepts inspired by nature and designed to complement the landscape of Edgewater Park.

Following a thorough evaluation process, the jury selected Tracing the Water's Edge, a bronze sculpture distinguished by the strength of its artistic vision and its thoughtful integration with the site.

Take Part in the Creative Process

Before the artwork is installed, residents are invited to take part in a cultural mediation activity that will contribute to the creative process.

On Tuesday, August 11, from 10 a.m. to noon, participants will have the opportunity to meet the artist and contribute to the project by sharing a word, a memory or an emotion inspired by the lake, nature or Edgewater Park.

About the Artist

Patrick Bérubé holds a master's degree in Visual and Media Arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He is recognized for his sculptures, installations and public art projects presented throughout Quebec and internationally. His artistic practice explores our relationship with the places we inhabit and move through, inviting viewers to see their surroundings from a fresh perspective.
