2026 MiNi Art Rental Collection – Call for Submissions

The Stewart Hall Art Gallery is pleased to announce the sixth edition of the MiNi Art Rental, an initiative celebrating the talent of young artists aged 12 and under who live or attend school in Pointe-Claire.

Parents and guardians are invited to enter their young artists’ works by filling in the online application form. Every year, a jury of art professionals, community representatives and young people selects close to 50 artworks to form the MiNi Art Rental Collection.

Awards and Recognition

The young artists will receive a $25 gift certificate from Friends of Stewart Hall, which can be redeemed at a Pointe-Claire bookstore.

Their art will be framed, put on display and showcased in the Kids’ Corner at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre from March 14 to April 5, 2026.

All proceeds will go to the West Island Community Shares’ ‘Powered by Kids for Kids’ campaign in support of initiatives promoting the development of strong, resilient children.

Conditions of Participation

To be eligible, your child must:

  • Reside in Pointe-Claire, attend a school in Pointe-Claire or be enrolled in a course at Stewart Hall;
  • Be 12 years old or younger;
  • Submit a single original artwork created over the last 12 months.

Art Specifications

  • Types of work accepted: paintings, drawings, photographs, mixed media and original prints;
  • Works must be two-dimensional and lay flat in order to fit within the supplied frame;
  • Accepted materials: paper or canvas board, with a maximum thickness of 3 mm;
  • Mandatory dimensions: 8" x 10" (20.32 x 25.4 cm), in portrait or landscape orientation;
  • Works must have been created within the last 12 months.

Submission Deadline

Applications must be submitted by February 8, 2026. The jury’s decisions will be communicated to all participants by email. 

Vernissage: Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. Families are invited to celebrate with us!
