National Holiday of Québec 2026: a festive, musical and community celebration!

The City of Pointe-Claire invites you to celebrate the National Holiday of Québec on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Alexandre-Bourgeau Park.

A full day of activities, performances and discoveries awaits residents of all ages in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Wednesday, June 24, 2026
2 to 10:30 p.m.
Alexandre-Bourgeau Park

In case of rain, activities will be moved indoors to the Olive-Urquhart Sports Centre (230 Brunswick Boulevard).

Family activities and festive atmosphere

Starting at 2 p.m., the site will come alive with a wide range of activities for all ages:

  • Hockey Zone
  • Inflatable games
  • Face painting for children
  • Mini karts
  • Nerf toy battles
  • Reading tent with the Pointe-Claire Public Library
  • Arts and crafts activities with the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre
  • And many more surprises
  • Food kiosks will be on site, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the day

A continuous musical atmosphere will be provided by a DJ from 2 to 10 p.m.

Performance schedule

  • 2 to 6 p.m.: Public swimming at the Pointe-Claire Village Pool (5B Sainte-Anne Avenue)
  • 3 p.m.: Perc Saya Percussion: interactive traditional Québec music performance
  • 5:30 p.m.: Science show: a fun mix of humour and magic
  • 6:30 p.m.: Speeches and flag raising ceremony
  • 6:45 p.m.: Line dancing with Star Danse School
  • 8 p.m.: Musical performance by Accent Bleu
  • 10:10 p.m.: Grand fireworks show presented by FAE, launched from a barge on Lake Saint-Louis (weather permitting)

A greener celebration, together

The City encourages eco-friendly practices throughout the day:

  • Green team on site to help with waste sorting
  • Additional bike racks available
  • Bring your reusable water bottle
  • Don’t forget your chair or blanket
  • Schedule available online to reduce paper use

Sustainable challenge

The first 100 people to arrive using sustainable transportation will have a chance to win a $50 gift card to a local Pointe-Claire business.

Please present yourself at the information kiosk with proof (photo, public transit ticket, bike helmet, etc.).
