Seeing the Potential, Building a More Inclusive City
At the June 2 council meeting, the City Council adopted the 2026 Action Plan for People with Disabilities as part of the Semaine québécoise des personnes handicapées, which took place from June 1 to June 7.
Now available on the City’s website, this plan outlines the concrete measures that have been implemented as well as upcoming projects aimed at fostering a more inclusive and accessible community for everyone.
Thanks to the work of the Accessibility Committee, several initiatives have been launched to meet the needs of the community, including the introduction of a new service: the addition of two adapted wheelchairs to enable people with limited mobility to access and enjoy the water play area at Valois Park.
