City of Pointe-Claire Mayor Tim Thomas and members of the municipal council are delighted to introduce the ten young people who will make up the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) for the 2024-2025 term. The Board’s mission is to make recommendations and give a voice to young citizens, in order to enrich activities and services designed for them.
On Wednesday, October 23, an official ceremony was held in the Council Chamber of City Hall to formalize the appointments of the members of this new cohort. After the ceremony, the elected youth and their families shared a moment of fellowship over a snack, in the company of members of the municipal council, to celebrate their new role.
We are delighted to welcome Albi Çullhaj (2nd term), Alexandre Gariépy (2nd term), Olivia Ginnetti (2nd term), Anastasia Sabapathy (2nd term), Dina El Azzouzi, Jason Chen, Michelle Ruoying Li, Olivia Rogers, Tianna Maughn and Chloe Guan to the Board.
“For the past six years, the City has been able to rely on the Youth Advisory Board to make pertinent recommendations to better reach out to young people. It’s a great asset for a city like Pointe-Claire to be surrounded by dynamic youth who represent the voice of their generation to the municipal administration and elected officials. We wish them every success in carrying out their mandate, and thank them warmly for their involvement,” said Pointe-Claire Mayor Tim Thomas.
