Update: Boil Water Advisory in District 1

Boil Water Advisory in District 1 – October 15, 2025
October 15, 3:30 p.m.
The City of Pointe-Claire informs residents that water service has been restored on Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road and Golf Avenue, following a water main break that occurred during the work by the City of Montréal.
A boil water advisory is now in effect for the addresses listed below.
Affected addresses:
- 339, 342 and 343 Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road
- 1–18 Golf Avenue
Boil Water Advisory
Date: October 15, ongoing until further notice.

What you need to know
A boil water advisory is currently in effect. You will have to boil water for at least one minute before using it (drinking, cooking, washing fruits and vegetables, preparing baby bottles, etc.).
You will receive a paper notice when the advisory is lifted, typically within 24 to 48 hours.
What you should do
- Boil water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, washing fruits and vegetables, or preparing baby formula.
- Alternatively, you may use bottled water for these purposes.
- Unboiled tap water may be used for bathing or showering but avoid swallowing the water.
- Continue to follow precautions until you receive a paper notice stating the advisory has been lifted.
Short Water Closure in District 1 – October 15, 2025
October 15, 9:25 a.m.
The City of Pointe-Claire informs you that a short water closure is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, due to work by the City of Montréal.
Affected addresses:
- 339, 342 and 343 Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road
- 2-18 Golf Avenue
Water Closure
- Date: October 15, anytime after 9 a.m., for a short period (less than 30 minutes).
- Supervisor: City of Montréal
What you need to do?
- Ensure you have an adequate water supply.
- Once water service is restored, it will be safe to drink — no boil-water advisory will be issued.
- The water may appear coloured temporarily. If so, let it run until it becomes clear. For more information, please refer to the notice Possible Water Colouration in District 1 - starting October 15, 2025.
