Ecological Assessment at Alexandre-Bourgeau Park
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that an ecological assessment will take place near the boat launching ramp at Alexandre-Bourgeau Park on June 4 and 5, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
To ensure that the work proceeds smoothly, the City asks the public to avoid the area during this period. The boat launch may also be temporarily inaccessible.
This ecological assessment is being carried out as part of a project to modify or replace the existing docks. It will provide a better understanding of the current state of the environment surronding the docks before the work begins.
What is an Ecological Assessment?
An ecological assessment is a study designed to observe and describe the environment of a particular place. It involves examining the plants and animals found at that location, as well as the soil and quality of the water.
This study will enable us to assess the state of the environment prior to the work, to assess the possible impacts of the project and to plan measures to protect the environment.
