Update – Paving Work on Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40)

The City of Pointe-Claire has been informed by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) that the paving work originally scheduled for August 2 and 3 has been postponed to the night of August 9 to 10, from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The work will require the closure of:

• Exit 52 (Saint-Jean Boulevard) from Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40) eastbound;
• The left lane of the eastbound service road between Edmond Street and Stillview Avenue;
• The entire eastbound service road between Stillview Avenue and Alston Avenue.

Traffic Obstructions and Circulation

During the work, motorists will be required to follow the following detours:

• From Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40) eastbound: continue to Exit 55, make a U-turn at the des Sources Boulevard interchange, then take the westbound service road to Saint-Jean Boulevard.
• From the eastbound service road: take Stillview Avenue, Hymus Boulevard and Alston Avenue, then return to the eastbound service road.

We encourage motorists to exercise extra caution, follow posted signage and slow down when approaching work zones to help ensure the safety of workers.

MTMD Work: Overnight Closure on Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40) from August 2 to 3

The City of Pointe-Claire has been informed by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) that paving work will take place from August 2 to 3, between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The work will require the closure of: 

• Exit 52 (Saint-Jean Boulevard) from eastbound Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40); 
• the left lane of the eastbound service road between Edmond Street and Stillview Avenue;
• the entire eastbound service road between Stillview Avenue and Alston Avenue.

Traffic Impacts

During the work, motorists will be required to follow the signed detours:

• From eastbound Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40): continue to Exit 55, make a U-turn at the Des Sources Boulevard interchange, then take the westbound service road to Saint-Jean Boulevard.
• From the eastbound service road: take Stillview Avenue, Hymus Boulevard, Alston Avenue, then rejoin the eastbound service road.

Motorists are reminded to exercise extra caution, follow the posted signage and reduce their speed when approaching the work zone to ensure the safety of workers.
