Work – Closure of Broadview Avenue between Belmont and John-Fisher Avenues
The City of Pointe-Claire informs you that work will require the closure of Broadview Avenue, between Belmont and John-Fisher Avenues, from August 19 to August 26, between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The work involves the installation of a raised pedestrian crossing to improve the safety and comfort of pedestrians near the elementary and high schools and throughout the surrounding area.
Traffic and detours
Due to the nature of the work and to ensure it can be carried out safely, Broadview Avenue will be closed to traffic.
Local traffic and access to properties will be maintained whenever possible. Temporary signage will be installed to indicate detours and preferred access routes.
During the work, road users and pedestrians will be required to follow the detour via Belmont, Parkdale and Saint-Louis Avenues.
Please note that all traffic, including buses, will be rerouted. No Parking signs will be installed along Parkdale Avenue to help facilitate traffic flow. These measures are being implemented in coordination with the STM, which will also inform its customers of changes to its bus routes.
Please note that there may be an increased presence of heavy vehicles and trucks in the area during the work.

We ask motorists to exercise extra caution and reduce their speed to help ensure the safety of workers.
Thank you for your understanding.
