Please note: If a collection cannot be completed on the scheduled day, it will generally continue on the next business day. Please leave your bins or items at the curb until the collection has been completed.

Household Waste Collection

Collection Carried Out by Two Trucks

Two trucks follow the same routes during household waste collection. As a result, one truck may pass before the other. If your bin is still at the curb after the first truck has gone by, please wait until the following morning before reporting a missed collection. The second truck may collect your bin later in the day.

This procedure applies to household waste collection only.

Weekly Collection Extended

The City has extended weekly household waste collection until the end of October. This adjustment provides a service that is better suited to residents’ needs while optimizing collection operations.

The new City of Pointe-Claire Collection Calendar is now available, and a printed version will be mailed by mid-August. Please remember to pick up your copy from your community mailbox to ensure you have the correct collection dates.

Bulky Item Collection

A bulky item collection will take place on Wednesday, August 12.

Bulky items are non-upholstered objects that are too large to fit in a bag, box or garbage bin. 

Examples include certain pieces of furniture or other large items that can be recovered and recycled.

Important: Only accepted items will be collected. Items that are not accepted or are placed at the curb at the wrong time must be removed by the resident.

Mattresses and box springs are not accepted during this collection, as they are collected separately. Bulky items must also not be placed with household waste.
