Heat wave – August 10 to 12, 2025
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that a heat wave is forecasted from Sunday, August 10 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Humidex values are expected to exceed 40 °C during the day and 20 °C at night.
To stay safe in the heat, we encourage you to drink water regularly and take advantage of cool, air-conditioned spaces.
Cooling Centres in Municipal Buildings
Everyone is welcome to cool off in our municipal facilities during the heat wave.

- Pointe-Claire Public Library – Central
- Pointe-Claire Public Library – Valois Branch
- Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre
- Stewart Hall Cultural Centre

- City Hall (open Monday to Friday)
Splash Pads
Our splash pads are open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and are available to everyone free of charge.

Access to Outdoor Pools
Three outdoor pools offer day passes for non-members. Please check each pool’s schedule before your visit:
- Pointe-Claire Village Pool at Alexandre-Bourgeau Park
- Lakeside Pool at Ovide Park
- Viking Pool at Northview Park
