Mentana !

Mentana is a Montreal band whose cinematic folk transports the listener right into the heart of vibrant stories that weave and unfold like little films. Smoking guitars, a powerful voice, angelic harmonies and fiery rhythms that take the listener on a journey into the unknown. Robin-Joël Cool's signature gritty, raspy vocals and driving guitars are at the centre of their sound, while Viviane Audet's velvety piano and angelic backing vocals round out the higher register. The rhythm section, comprised of Yannick Parent on drums and Erik West-Millette on bass (West Trainz), chugs along languorously on certain tracks and charges like a runaway train on others.
