Description
For the Art Gallery’s summer vernissage, enjoy a day of activities and celebrations! This event is open to all!
Starting at noon:
- Bring your picnic and sit by the water to enjoy the start of summer. We’ll be offering treats and refreshments.
- Take part in creative workshops on the terrace, inspired by works of the Faux-Folklore exhibition, with our cultural mediation team.
- Enjoy a playlist specially concocted by artist, musician and author Rémi Belliveau.
- Be inspired by nature and the beauty of Stewart Park as you sketch alongside the Urban Sketchers Montréal and Urban Sketchers Ottawa, a group that brings together both beginner and experienced artists to capture their surroundings on the spot! Come share your sketches in front of the outdoor stage at 3 p.m.
- Information booth and used book sale by the Friends of Stewart Hall.
1:30 p.m.:
Join the artists for a short-guided tour of the Faux-Folklore exhibition.
2 p.m.:
Gather at Stewart Hall Art Gallery for the launch of the exhibition Faux-Folklore, with the four artists in the exhibition, Rémi Belliveau, Kim Kölle Valentine, Jean-Michel Leclerc and Alberto Porro.
Come celebrate with us!
