$640,000 in Québec Government Funding to Support Pointe-Claire’s Heritage
The City of Pointe-Claire is pleased to announce that it will receive $640,000 in financial assistance from the Québec government for the period from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2029.
This funding is being provided through the Heritage Partnership Program of the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications. Launched in 2025, the Heritage Partnership Program renews the partnership between the Quebec government and municipalities in the management of cultural heritage. In particular, it supports built heritage inventories, the development of municipal expertise, the integration of heritage considerations into land-use planning tools, and the restoration of private and municipal heritage properties.
“This contribution from the Quebec government reflects the importance of our heritage and will allow us to continue our efforts to preserve it and showcase it within our community,” said Pointe-Claire Mayor John Belvedere.
The terms and conditions for awarding this grant will be announced in the coming months.
The City thanks the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications for its support and reaffirms its commitment to protecting and promoting its heritage.
