Pointe-Claire Swim Club Invitational: A Can’t Miss Community Sporting Event!

The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to share that its 53rd annual Pointe-Claire Swim Club Invitational competition will take place from Thursday, December 4 to Sunday, December 7 at the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre.

Sports enthusiasts and all members of the community are invited to come encourage the hundreds of swimmers competing at the event. Take part in the competition by coming to watch in person or by tuning in to the livestream of the event and cheering on from home.

This annual December tradition, which dates back to 1972, is the biggest event of the season for the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club. Not only does the competition draw in thousands of viewers across Montreal, but it also serves as a unifying event that fosters community pride and strengthens interest in the sport.

The event’s past success and scale have further cemented Pointe-Claire as a leader, notably through its Aquatic Club’s commitment to excellence, the quality of its coaching, environment and sports facilities, as well as being a front-runner when it comes to development.

The Club and its athletes have similar aspirations: to grow the sport, foster athletic development and pursue excellence, while remaining positive role models and leaders within the community.

Event Schedule

Day 1: Thursday, December 4

Finals: 5 to 8 p.m.
- Events: 1500m and 800m Freestyle

Day 2: Friday, December 5

Prelims: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Finals: 5 to 8 p.m.
- Events: 200m Freestyle, 100m Butterfly, 100m Backstroke, 400m Individual Medley, and a 50m Freestyle Knockout.

Day 3: Saturday, December 6
