The Brigade is Back this Summer!
The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to announce that its Brigade, a crew comprised of knowledgeable young employees, has been circulating the territory to share information about proper waste management and the new water by-law.
Our crews are informing residents about the materials accepted in the various municipal collections, as well as information about waste sorting, household composting and using the kitchen cone for organic materials. They are also offering useful tips to help with the collection of organic waste.
Additionally, this year the Brigade will be providing information about ecological water usage to help residents comply with the new water by-law. Educational pamphlets and letters will be handed out to help better contextualize some of the key points of the by-law and how to respect them.
Taking Action for the Environment
Our crews will ensure that materials in each collection bin comply with the designated guidelines, helping to reduce the amount of waste sent to local landfills.
You may therefore see a sign on your bins this summer indicating that the squad has come to assess the contents of your bin. The purpose of this is to highlight necessary improvements to your waste sorting or to congratulate you on your valuable efforts.
Managing household waste through proper sorting and collection, as well as lowering your water usage at home, makes a huge difference for the planet.
