Heavy Rainfall – Current Situation
Due to the heavy rainfall affecting our area today, some sectors of Pointe-Claire are experiencing water accumulation. Our teams have been mobilized since Thursday and Friday and remain fully deployed in the field to monitor the situation and respond to priorities.
Our phone lines are currently experiencing high demand, as our resources are fully deployed on the ground.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.
To reduce the risk of sewer backups, please limit your water use (showers, laundry, flushing toilets) for now.
If you have water in your basement:
- Raise your furniture as much as possible.
- If you can do so safely without standing in water, turn off power to outlets and heating units, or shut off the circuit breakers.
- Do not touch electrical equipment or panels if they are wet or if you are in contact with water.
We encourage you to limit travel when possible and to remain cautious on the road until the end of this rainfall event.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
This notice will be updated as the situation evolves.
