Update: Opening of the Westbound Lane on Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that the westbound lane of Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road is now open to traffic as of today, Friday, August 22.
The eastbound lane will remain closed until October 6 to allow for sidewalk reconstruction and preparation of the road base layer.
Eastbound Traffic and Detour
Motorists traveling east must follow this detour route:
- Exit 53 of Highway 20 eastbound;
- Lakebreeze Avenue;
- Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road.
Cyclists and electric scooter users must use the Pointe-Claire train station tunnel, Donegani Avenue, and the pedestrian overpass at the Sources interchange.
Pedestrians may continue to circulate as usual throughout the work.
Shared Taxis
STM bus 202 Dawson westbound service will resume on August 25. Shared taxi service will therefore end on August 24 at 10 p.m.
Eastbound passengers of STM bus 202 Dawson will be able to board at the following stops:
- Bord-du-Lac / Water’s Edge
- Bord-du-Lac / De l’Église

July 31, 2025: Expected Impact: Work on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road
The City of Pointe-Claire wishes to remind you that major improvement work will take place from August 4 to October 31, 2025, on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road between Raynor Avenue and the Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club.
The project includes
- sewer repairs;
- complete roadway resurfacing;
- sidewalk reconstruction.
Plan your travel!
Whether you ride a motor vehicle, bicycle or electric scooter, you can expect major detours during certain stages of the project. Please plan your travel accordingly.
Pedestrians will be able to move about as usual during the work.
August 4 to 25: rerouting of 202 Dawson bus (STM)
From August 4 to 25, the stops on the 202 Dawson bus (eastbound) will be temporarily relocated:
- Western end: near Exit 51 of Highway 20.
- Eastern end: near Lakebreeze Avenue.
Stops on the 202 Dawson bus (westbound) will be suspended between Des Sources Boulevard and Saint-Jean Boulevard.
The usual bus schedule may be disrupted. For full schedule details, visit the STM website.
Shared taxis
To ensure that transport service is maintained, two shared taxis will operate in the area between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. until August 25. Please allow 20 to 25 minutes between taxis.
This temporary service is offered free of charge to STM users upon presentation of a valid OPUS card.
