Restoration of the cenotaph
The City of Pointe-Claire informs you that restoration work on the cenotaph structure will take place from June 22 to July 3. This monument, located behind City Hall, commemorates the men and women who served Canada during times of war.
During the work, the cenotaph will be temporarily removed to allow for the demolition and reconstruction of its foundation, which is required for the installation of the new stones. The cenotaph will remain removed until mid-August to allow sufficient time for the concrete to cure before the work can continue.
The monument will be reinstalled once the foundation is ready to receive the new stones. Please note that, due to the equipment and operations required to remove the structure, the area may be inaccessible during certain stages of the work.
Thank you for your understanding.
