The City of Pointe-Claire informs you that, due to work being carried out by the City of Montreal, there will be a temporary interruption to the drinking water supply on July 8, from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., affecting Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road and Cedar Avenue.

Affected addresses

  • 210 Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road
  • 1 to 37 Cedar Avenue

Reduced water pressure may also affect neighbouring streets.

Water service interruption

  • Scheduled date: Wednesday, July 8, between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • If your property is affected, you will receive a printed notice before the interruption.
  • Work carried out by: City of Montreal

Possible water discolouration

This work may cause temporary water discolouration in neighbouring streets. Although the water may appear discoloured, it remains safe.

If your water becomes discoloured, please follow these instructions:

  • Turn on your cold water tap (preferably the bathtub or kitchen sink faucet) and let the water run until it becomes clear.
  • If your faucet has an aerator, remove it before running the water.
  • Make sure the water is clear before using hot water or any water-using appliances, including your refrigerator's water dispenser, to prevent staining or damage.
  • Avoid using your washing machine while the water is discoloured. Wait until the water runs clear before doing laundry.
  • If any clothing becomes stained as a result of the discoloured water, a cleaning product is available free of charge at the City Hall Multiservice Counter.

Thank you for your understanding.ension.
