Please note: if a collection cannot be completed on the scheduled day, it generally will continue on the next business day. We ask that you leave bins or items for collection at the curb until collection is complete.

Mattress and Box Spring Collection

A mattress and box spring collection will take place on May 6 in sector A and on May 7 in sector B. Please note that sofas and armchairs are no longer accepted for this collection.

Items must be placed the day before at the curb after 6 p.m. or before 7 a.m. the day of collection.

For more information about this collection, visit the Mattresses and box springs page.

Local Ecocentre

The first local ecocentre of 2026 will be held on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Public Works yard (50 Terra-Cotta Avenue).

You can bring:

  • construction waste, electronic products;
  • tires;
  • or any other item that cannot be picked up with household waste, bulky items or hazardous household waste.

A document shredding service will also be available.

Wood Chips and Compost

Wood chips and compost will be provided free of charge on this day. Please limit the quantity to 100 L per person so that as many residents as possible can take advantage. Don’t forget to bring your shovel and containers.

Based on attendance and the length of the queue, we may have to limit access before closing time.

To find out which materials are accepted, visit the Ecocentre page.

Note that the shredding service and compost distribution will take place in the employee parking lot (see map below).

Bulky Items Collection

A bulky items collection will take place on Wednesday, May 13. Bulky items are non-upholstered items that are too big to put in a bag, box or trash can, with the exception of mattresses and box springs, which have their own collection. These items are reclaimed and recovered. Bulky items are not accepted during the household waste collection.

  • Your bulky items must be placed the day before in your driveway, at the curb, after 6 p.m.  or before 7 a.m. the day of collection.
  • The weight of each item must not exceed 220 lb (100 kg), and the maximum dimensions are 1.8 m (6 ft) by 1.2 m (4 ft).
  • For each address or apartment building, a maximum of 10 items or the equivalent of 5 m3 will be accepted per collection.
  • Sharp or dangerous materials must be secured (e.g., remove nails, screws, etc.).
  • Wherever possible, items should be tied in bundles to prevent scattering and facilitate easy collection.

To find out which items are accepted at this collection and which are not, visit the Bulky items page.

Leaf Collection

There are three more leaf collections for the spring 2026 season: on May 11, May 25 and June 8. Outside these collection dates, leaves must be placed in the green wheeled bin from the City. No bags will be picked up at the curb outside the predetermined dates, due to mechanical collection.

On collection days, you may place your containers and paper leaf bags at the curb. To learn more, visit the Leaf Collection page.

Upcoming collections in June

  • Bulky item collection on June 10
  • Leaf collection on June 8
