Roles of Public Security Inspectors

Inspectors’ Role

The inspectors’ responsabilities are as follows.

• Ensure compliance with City by-laws.
• Assist residents and authorities as needed.
• Help to establish emergency measures when natural disasters or major incidents occur.
• Assist the staff of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) and the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM).
• Ensure security during events held in Pointe-Claire (special, cultural, recreational, sports-related, etc.).
• Inform residents about the presence of wild and potentially harmful animals.
• Cooperate with shelters to provide animal control throughout Pointe-Claire and follow up with animal owners.
