Hazardous Household Waste

The collection of household hazardous waste is organized by the City of Montreal and occurs on Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4 and September 20 and 21, 2025, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., in the City Hall parking lot, 451, boulevard Saint-Jean.

Household hazardous waste consists of products that pose a risk to the environment and human health when they are not disposed of responsibly and safely.

Under no circumstances should household hazardous waste be thrown into nature, into sewers, into household waste collection, or into recyclable material collection.

To allow you to dispose of them safely, two mobile collections by the City of Montreal take place in Pointe-Claire: these temporary drop-off points are set up once in the spring and once in the fall. The collection takes place in the parking lot behind the town hall, at 451 Saint-Jean Boulevard.
