Hazardous Household Waste

Looking for a safe and responsible way to dispose of your household hazardous waste?
Find available drop-off locations and learn more!

Info icon

Please note that in 2026 the Agglomeration of Montréal no longer offers mobile household hazardous waste (HHW) collections.

Household hazardous waste refers to common household products that can pose a risk to the environment and human health if they are not disposed of properly. These include, for example, certain cleaning products, paints, solvents, and batteries.

To prevent contamination, these products must never be disposed of in nature, poured down drains, or placed in regular garbage or recycling collections.

Instead, household hazardous waste must be brought to one of the designated drop-off locations.

Ecocentre Drop-Off

You can safely dispose of your household hazardous waste at local ecocentres or at any ecocentre within the Montreal area.

Local Ecocentres

The closest ecocentres within the Montreal area are located in LaSalle and Saint-Laurent.
