Shooting in Montréal – City Flags Lowered to Half-Mast
As a sign of solidarity and remembrance, Pointe-Claire Mayor John Belvedere has requested that the flags at Pointe-Claire City Hall be lowered to half-mast today following the tragic shooting that took place yesterday in Montréal’s Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood.
The City of Pointe-Claire offers its most sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as to all members of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal. Our thoughts are also with the injured police officer, to whom we wish a speedy recovery.
Mayor John Belvedere, members of City Council, and the Pointe-Claire administration wish to express their solidarity with the people of Montreal and their gratitude to the first responders for their dedication and service.
