Upcoming Collections in January 2026
The dates for all collections in your area are listed in the complete calendar.
Please note: if a collection cannot be completed on the scheduled day, it generally will continue on the next business day. We ask that you leave bins or items for collection at the curb until collection is complete.
Tip for Organic Waste Collection
During colder months, it is important to place a dry brown paper bag in your compost bin. Without a brown bag, waste tends to stick together and to the sides of the bin, which may result in it not being collected unintentionally. The dry brown bag helps keep the contents loose and easily collectable throughout the winter.
Christmas Tree Collection
The collection of Christmas trees will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, and must be placed in your driveway, at the edge of the public road, after 6 PM the day before or before 7 AM on the day of collection.
All natural trees are accepted (fir, pine, spruce, birch). By participating in the collection, you ensure that your tree is recovered and processed into wood chips or compost rather than being sent to a landfill.
Forgot to put out your tree on collection day? Christmas trees are also accepted at the Montréal agglomeration ecocentres.
