Lighting Modernization Work
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that lighting modernization work will begin on April 27 and continue until the end of May 2026.
The work will take place on the southbound Des Sources Boulevard overpass over the Félix-Leclerc Highway (40), on the eastbound service road and on its access ramp.
The work involves replacing the existing streetlights with aluminum LED streetlights.
Traffic Restrictions Expected
Some lanes will be reduced at various times during the work:
• The right-hand lane of the southbound Des Sources Boulevard overpass and the ramp to the service road;
• The right-hand lane of the Félix-Leclerc Highway (40) service road;
• The right-hand lane of the off-ramp to northbound Des Sources Boulevard.
LED Streetlamps: an Ecological, Sustainable and Efficient Solution
The new LED streetlights will provide uniform, directional lighting. This project will improve safety and comfort for pedestrians and motorists while reducing energy consumption.
Traffic During the Work
Pedestrians and active mobility users will continue to be able to use the overpass.
Motorists are asked to remain extra vigilant, follow the instructions on all signs posted, and slow down when approaching work zones to help ensure worker safety.
Thank you for your understanding.
