Antoine Pilon acquired the lot in 1706 and built a house there. The Pilon family retained ownership until 1826. Among the various owners who succeeded them was the Valois family, one of whose members, Alexandre, lent his name to the neighborhood.
In 1968, André Charbonneau, a merchant and founder of the Société pour la Sauvegarde du Patrimoine de Pointe-Claire, became the owner of the house and began restoration work. However, the poor condition of the house led to the demolition of the building. The property was rebuilt using the original materials.
The Antoine-Pilon house was rebuilt using a piece-on-piece technique, and a new perpendicular wing in the same style was added to the main building. The restoration work also restored the presumed slope of the original roof and covered it with cedar shingles. The front door regained its original layout, and the fireplace and bread oven were highlighted.
