REM
The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) is the new public transit project with automated electric trains in the metropolitan region.
The REM spans 67 kilometres and serves downtown Montreal, the South Shore, the North Shore, the West Island, and the airport. It includes 26 stations, three of which connect with the Montreal métro system. Please note that the branch serving the airport is scheduled to open in 2027.
Two stations are located in Pointe-Claire: Fairview–Pointe-Claire Station and Des Sources Station.
Service is currently scheduled to begin on May 18, 2026.

Des Sources Station
Des Sources Station is located within the quadrangle formed by Highway 40, Des Sources Boulevard, Hymus Boulevard and Delmar Avenue. The main entrance to the station is located on Des Sources Boulevard.

Fairview–Pointe-Claire Station
The Fairview–Pointe-Claire station is located along Highway 40 near the shopping centre with the same name. A bus terminal will facilitate access to the station from residential neighbourhoods on the West Island.

Free transit program for seniors
Since July 2023, the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) has offered a program aimed at making travel easier for seniors.
Residents of Montréal Island aged 65 and over who obtain an OPUS 65+ card can travel free of charge on public transit throughout the island.
Outside Montréal Island, in other fare zones, seniors aged 65 and over are eligible for reduced fares.
