Archaeological Digs: Be Part of the Discoveries!
The City of Pointe-Claire invites you to dive into the history of the Village of Pointe-Claire on Monday, August 10, from 3 to 7 p.m., at the corner of Demers and Sainte-Anne avenues, as part of Pointe-Claire Summer Showcase.
This activity is free of charge and offers a unique opportunity to meet the archaeologists from Artéfactuel, discover artifacts, and learn more about the findings made during the excavations.
Come with your family or friends to uncover a part of Pointe-Claire’s history and chat with those helping bring the City’s heritage to life.
Do you have treasures to share?
Do you have archival photos of Saint-Joachim and Sainte-Anne avenues? The City of Pointe-Claire and Artéfactuel invite you to bring them and share them during the activity.
Your images could contribute to archaeological research and help better document the history of the area.
An authorization form will be available on site to allow the use of your photos as part of the research.

Archaeological Digs: Discovering Pointe-Claire’s Past

This summer, from June 25 to August 24, the City of Pointe-Claire will continue archaeological digs on Sainte-Anne and Saint-Joachim avenues. This work builds on the investigations carried out in the summer of 2022 and aims to enhance our understanding of, and help preserve, our community’s rich historical heritage.
Join the Discoveries!
On August 10, from 3 to 7 p.m., visit us at the corner of Demers and Sainte-Anne avenues during Pointe-Claire Summer Showcase for a free activity focused on the archaeological digs.
Families and friends are invited to meet archaeologists from Artéfactuel, explore artifacts, and learn more about the discoveries made in the heart of the village. It’s a great opportunity to uncover the past and meet the people bringing it back to life.
And the adventure doesn’t stop there! It will continue this fall with video capsules and an information session dedicated to the archaeological discoveries.
