Archaeological Digs: Discovering Pointe-Claire’s Past
This summer, from June 25 to August 24, the City of Pointe-Claire will continue archaeological digs on Sainte-Anne and Saint-Joachim avenues. This work builds on the investigations carried out in the summer of 2022 and aims to enhance our understanding of, and help preserve, our community’s rich historical heritage.
Join the Discoveries!
On August 10, from 3 to 7 p.m., visit us at the corner of Demers and Sainte-Anne avenues during Pointe-Claire Summer Showcase for a free activity focused on the archaeological digs.
Families and friends are invited to meet archaeologists from Artéfactuel, explore artifacts, and learn more about the discoveries made in the heart of the village. It’s a great opportunity to uncover the past and meet the people bringing it back to life.
And the adventure doesn’t stop there! It will continue this fall with video capsules and an information session dedicated to the archaeological discoveries.
