Remembrance Day – Poppies Available

As part of Remembrance Day, cash-only donation boxes will be made available to enable residents to purchase a poppy. These boxes will be accessible in the following municipal buildings:

• Bob-Birnie Arena (58 Maywood Avenue)
• Pointe-Claire Public Library – Central (100 Douglas-Shand Avenue)
• Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre (60 Maywood Avenue)
• Stewart Hall Cultural Centre (176 Du Bord-du-Lac-Lakeshore Road)
• Olive-Urquhart Sports Centre (230 Brunswick Boulevard)
• City Hall (451 Saint-Jean Boulevard)
• Recreation Building (94 Douglas-Shand Avenue)

Invitation to the Commemorative Ceremony

The City of Pointe-Claire invites residents to attend the Remembrance Day ceremony, which will take place on November 9 at 10:30 a.m., at the cenotaph located behind City Hall.

By wearing a poppy and taking part in this moment of remembrance, we honour the memory of veterans and reaffirm our collective commitment to never forget their sacrifice.
