Notice of Correction: Updates to the City Map Mailed to Residents in September 2025
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that certain modifications have been made to the City map distributed in September 2025 to better reflect the current state of municipal facilities and infrastructure.
These adjustments have been incorporated into a digital version of the map, which is now available to view on our New Residents' Guide web page.
Please take note of the following corrections that have been made:
Correction to Bike Path Network
The bike path network on the printed version of the City map does not accurately represent the current infrastructure. Several of the bike paths showcased on the map reflect future bike paths that still require further evaluation, planning and construction work and have therefore been removed from the updated digital version.
Among the bike paths that have been removed are:
- Path along Saint-Jean Boulevard
- Path along Chemin du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore
- Path along Cedar Avenue
- Path along the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) line
- Section of the path along Des Sources Boulevard
- Various other residential paths that do not currently exist
Correction to Pedestrian Paths
Upon further review of the various pedestrian paths featured our map, there were some that needed to be added or retracted to ensure the map’s accuracy, including:
- Removal of a path on Glanlynn Avenue that goes through Ashgrove Park
- Addition of a path on Hermitage Avenue
- Removal of a path connecting Brunswick Boulevard and Carmel Crescent Avenue
- Addition of a path that connects Compton Crescent Avenue and the adjacent green space
- Addition of a path connecting D’Ivanhoe Crescent Avenue and the adjacent bike path
- Addition of a path connecting Glenbrook Crescent Avenue to the adjacent bike path
- Lengthening of a path that connects Saint-Jean Boulevard and Avenue Braebrook
- Addition of a path that connects King Avenue and Saint-Louis Avenue
- Addition of a path connecting Cornish Avenue and Tudor Park
- Adjustment to paths connecting Donegani Avenue to De Vincennes Avenue and Charles Avenue
- Addition of a path connecting Hampton Gardens Avenue and Jackson Avenue
- Addition of a path connecting Regatta Avenue and Basswood Crescent Avenue
Correction to Streets
Certain streets and avenues required some adjustments to ensure that they accurately reflected our current infrastructure and road network:
- Removal of Avenue des Peupliers from the map, as it is a private sector
- Continuation of Heather Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, which both continue past Douglas-Shand Avenue
- Addition of a missing section of Duke-of-Kent Avenue
We appreciate your understanding regarding the corrections of these inaccuracies. These updates will provide residents with the most accurate and up-to-date information about their City and its infrastructure.
