West Island Mission’s Annual Porch to Pantry Food Drive To Take Place in Pointe-Claire on October 24

News
Published on October 21, 2026 to 2:34 p.m.

The West Island Mission (WIM) will hold its annual Porch to Pantry food drive in Pointe-Claire this Saturday, October 24, 2026. This important initiative invites Pointe-Claire residents to support local families by simply placing non-perishable food donations on their front porch before 9 a.m. on October 24.

With demand for food assistance increasing every year, and donations down due to ongoing economic pressures, WIM is calling on the community to help restock its shelves. The organization is now serving close to 500 families.

How to Make Sure Your Donations Are Picked Up

To help the WIM volunteers easily identify and pick up your food donations, please make sure to:

  • Place non-perishable food donations on your front porch before 9 a.m. on October 24
  • Clearly label the box or bag of donations with the WIM’s food drive flyer

Volunteer drivers will be circulating across the city to collect donations. If your home was missed by mistake and the donations were not picked up, please bring them to the WIM warehouse located at 72D Brunswick Blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, open from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The City of Pointe-Claire and the West Island Mission thank you for your support and generosity in helping reduce food insecurity across our community.
