Pointe-Claire Unaffected by City of Montréal’s Water Restrictions
The City of Pointe-Claire was informed by the Montréal agglomeration this morning that emergency work on a main Atwater water pipe located under De la Cathédrale Street, as well as at two City of Montréal drinking water treatment plants, Des Baillets and Atwater.
This will result in restrictions and directives to reduce drinking water use for residents of Montréal and six demerged municipalities: Town of Mount Royal, Hampstead, Westmount, Côte Saint-Luc, Montréal-Est, and Montréal-Ouest.
Although the agglomeration’s communications are being sent to the entire population of the Island of Montréal, we would like to remind you that Pointe-Claire residents are supplied by the Pointe-Claire water treatment plant.
Unless otherwise notified at a later date, we confirm that these restrictions and measures do not affect our territory or our residents.
We still encourage you to use drinking water responsibly and avoid waste, in an effort to preserve this essential resource.
Please note that outside administrative office hours, you may contact the Inspection – Public Security Department for any municipal emergency.
