Changes to Waste Collection Services Provided by the Agglomeration of Montréal
The City of Pointe-Claire wishes to inform you that the Agglomeration of Montréal will be making changes to certain waste management services in our area following the adoption of the City of Montréal’s 2026 budget.
Ecocentre Hours
As of summer 2026, Agglomeration of Montréal ecocentres will be closed on Mondays, including during the summer period. This change follows an analysis of site usage.
Ecocentres will remain open the other six days of the week, according to their regular schedules, including extended summer hours.
Mobile Household Hazardous Waste Collections
All mobile household hazardous waste (HHW) collections will be discontinued in demerged cities in 2026, including those offered in Pointe-Claire.
You will be able to drop off your HHW at Montréal Agglomeration ecocentres.
Please note that some products classified as HHW can also be dropped off at permanent collection points located at certain retail locations (e.g., pharmacies, auto garages, hardware stores). Several options are outlined on the City of Pointe-Claire’s website.

Other Collections
All other collections (recyclables, organics, household waste, bulky items, branches, leaves, etc.) are not affected by these changes.
You can consult the current collection schedule at any time on the Collection Calendar and Sorting Guide webpage. The new collection calendar for the period from April 2026 to March 2027 will be distributed at the end of March.
Thank you for your cooperation.
