Agglomeration of Montréal subsidies

The Agglomeration of Montréal offers subsidies for businesses on the Island of Montréal for which Pointe-Claire businesses are eligible.

Business accessibility assistance program

This subsidy program was created to assist business owners who would like to take advantage of financial assistance allowing them to offer universally accessible facilities to their clients with reduced mobility. The business accessibility assistance program offers a subsidy equal to 75% of the cost of eligible work, without exceeding $10,000. Eligible work includes replacing a door, installing an electric door opener, installing a ramp or platform lift, replacing restrooms, etc.

Financial assistance for businesses affected by major work (Pointe-Claire Village only)

This program aims to support businesses located in an area affected by major infrastructure work and that have suffered financial losses of at least 15% of their gross profit. This financial assistance offered by the Agglomeration of Montréal may reach up to $30,000 per fiscal year and is calculated based on the actual loss of the establishment. The first 15% of the gross profit loss recognized for a fiscal year is not covered by the subsidy. Only businesses in the Pointe-Claire Village sector, which experienced major road work in 2017 and 2018, are eligible for this subsidy (see the limits of the sector here).
